The journal of Persian Language and Literature (affiliated with Islamic Azad University, the South Tehran branch) was launched in ۲۰۰۵. In ۲۰۰۸ and according to the policy of National Scientific Journals Supervision Commission of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Islamic republic of Iran, the name of the journal changed to Mytho-Mystic Literature and it was decided to publish in the fields of mystical literature and mythology.

In the establishment, development and durability of the journal, great professors such as Dr. Mazāher Mosaffā, Dr. Amirbānoo Karimi, Dr. Alimohammad Sajjādi, Dr. Sarvar Molāee, Dr. Abdolhossein Farzād, Dr. Abolghasem Rādfar, Dr. Mahdi Māhoozi, Dr. Aboo-mahboob, Dr. Soheilā Sāremi and Dr. Soheilā Mousavi Sirjāni were involved.
